The view from Las Vegas

The following link is to some ramblings from my present trip to Vegas, with some poker and blackjack thrown in. But I suppose the blog is kosher, as it mentions Bobby and Judy Wolff, and also Fred Gitelman and Sheri Winestock – all of whom I met up with on this trip.
Hi Ross:
After laughing so much while reading the recent account of your trip to Vegas, I can only reiterate what I’ve been telling you all along: Forget the real estate, mortgaging, poker (and bridge where there is little money other than professionally) and seek your true calling — writing. Your style is so delightfully fluent — combined with a unique presentation, candor and humor. It is a rare combination of talent.
Bobby and I had been looking forward to meeting one Ross Taylor and unlike most first encounters, we were far from disappointed. You are everything we thought you would be — and more. Though our backgrounds are so very different, the time flew by and we loved every single moment of our three hours together over cocktails and dinner. Hope we can do it again before you leave for home. Email or phone — we’ll be waiting!
Cheers,
Judy
You punster, you!
A writing talent indeed!
But I like your style too……….Howard
Thanks, Howard, for the kind words. You’re not so bad yourself!
One thing is for certain — a bridge player must maintain his or her sense of humor at all times.
Otherwise, you may as well throw in the towel!

Woah! I’m really enjyniog the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that perfect balance between superb usability and appearance. I must say that you’ve done a great job with this. Also, the blog loads very fast for me on Opera. Superb Blog!
